March 20, 2019

Today on March 20, 2019 the last Wednesday of the quarter is always a bit stressful for everyone even the teachers, but our group came in and got to work, starting the test runs of the figure eight. Our group today hopes to finish the figure eight today, we are just five turns away from finishing the second lap. Our group has a good dynamic because we all get along and even though we have to finish two robots, I think we will be fine.

This week has been tough with the robot because last Thursday we lost all of our programming, and had to basically restart. We came back though and now we are almost done. Next time were back here is after spring break, we might need a little time to refresh.

March 18, 2019

Today we are going to probably finish the "Figure Eight" and finish maintenance on both of our robots. Even though we are missing one person I think that we will be fine with the work load.

  • The "Figure Eight"
  • Two blog posts
  • Start working on the next challenge
  • Start upgrading our robot for the next challenge
  • Save our programming so we don't lose it again
  • Make sure our batteries are charging while were not using them

Our group is exited for spring break, but we will try to not let that affect us in these last days of the third quarter. When we got into class today we got straight to work; top left: David getting the RobotC program started, top left: Dre tightening some screws and doing regular maintenance on the robot, and bottom Right: David getting our program from the USB and downloading it onto the computer.

Solidworks March 14,2019

March 14,2019

This week we were using the computers to finish the solid works model and to work on the figure eight. Today we might finish the figure eight, hopefully we do so we can start working on the next challenge. The last class I worked on re-making the wheels sets to have spacers instead of collars, Dre worked on the solid works, and David and James worked on the figure eight. The top right picture shows the robot going through the figure eight. The top left shows James and David working on the robot and the figure eight. The bottom middle is me working on the blog.

  • Getting familiar with the RobotC program

Sadly when we save or program we saved it in RobotC and in 2 docs, but when we tried to open them it didn't work :(

Today our team will work on finishing the figure eight. We also need to finish working on our solid works, and put it in our blog. Both our square bots are finished being built.

Our Solid works is almost done and our figure eight is almost done, finishing solid works will let us have a detailed view of the robot and maybe make it easier to upgrade the robot for the next challenge.

  • Solid works
  • "Figure Eight" on both robots
  • Start working on the next challenge
  • Brain storm ideas for upgrades and apply them to the solid works and the robots
  • Make sure we save our code on a flash drive and make sure to have many copies.
